🌞 macOS pals — is there a weather app that will fire off a notification if the temperature crosses a certain threshold? Weather.app has some basic options, but I’d really love to get a little alert it’s time to close the windows when it’s too hot out, or open them up again when it cools down 🥹 Does such a thing already exist?

🧑🏽‍💻 macOS devs — Juuust out of curiosity, if anyone is in the app commission game, what might a menu-bar app with this functionality run a fella? 👀

@ashur@front-end.social never seen this feature before but seems like the kind of simple niche feature that Claude code could whip up in about ten minutes

@ashur@front-end.social Not *exactly* what you asked, but I do this with temperature sensors + Home Assistant.

@ashur@front-end.social i thought of something like this https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/8d09f091064248b8b027ea3e93be2fea (a shortcut) adding a ‘repeat’ and ‘wait’ x minutes in between wrapped in an automation around it to kick it off whenever the phone connects to your home wifi perhaps to keep it localised. (You don’t need to know about the windows when you’re out I suppose)

@ashur@front-end.social I was hoping that @CARROT@mastodon.social did this but, sadly, no.
