@TinJar Changes in popularity of paper books does not necessarily say anything about the amount of reading that is happening. That's a false inference.
People in the US are reading a lot fewer mass market paperbacks than they did when I was young, but that has very little to do with reader preferences and a lot to do with industrial level decision making and the collapse of the distribution channel. Ebooks are filling that price niche because that is what publishers make available.

@ElyseMGrasso I agree. I think, in newer markets such as Asia, there is limited data availability on buying/reading books, in general. I was quite surprised to see the growing popularity (true or not) of books in the context of the internet offering new kinds of entertainment.
