There’s some of that. A few of the interviews from 2008 had some really vague or biased opinions about what the regulators should be doing, that could have been better if there wasn’t regulatory capture.
I’m talking about cases where someone is breaking the law, flagrantly, and the regulator knows. But it still takes years and years for anything to happen.
eg, 6 years for pretty much nothing to be enforced in a clear cut case:
