I don’t know if I agree with Hooton because I don’t read Hooton. Is he being paid by a survivalist bunker company now?
Nat Geo guy makes a lot of good points and they’re long term points where even if he turns out to be wrong we will be in a better place.
Short term fixes such as fuel subsidies or hoarding fuel will leave us in a worse place but starting a permaculture garden or meeting the neighbours will leave us better off forever.
Even if he’s wrong he’s still right.

@futuresprog oh Hooton just correctly identifies how fuxked we are without stable fuel supplies, and that the govt seems unable to say this or indeed do anything sensible about it.
