RE: https://hachyderm.io/@kernellogger/116419722474231366
A fix for the #kernel stuttering/periodic lockups problem mentioned below[1] now has hit #Linux mainline: https://git.kernel.org/torvalds/c/4096fd0e8eaea13ebe5206700b33f49635ae18e5
Now it needs a backport to 7.0, as it does not apply cleanly there. Luckily, Thomas apparently plans to provide one; sadly, it will most likely be too late for #LinuxKernel 7.0.1, which is already in testing.
[EDIT] Looks like I was wrong and we'll get this into 7.0.1 [/EDIT]
[1] which was reported at least one more time in between: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=221377

2/ For the record: #Linux 7.0.1 is out[1] and fixes the #kernel 7.0 stuttering/periodic lockups problem seen on various machines: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?h=linux-7.0.y&id=9401b593fa48218d2667df1610b0ebc518554880 [1] at least in git, kernel.org will offer it shortly
