I'm about to upgrade my Kubuntu installation, and the next generation is reportedly going all-out Wayland. Please help me keeping our fingers crossed that my Nvidia 5070 driver will work; I currently had to force X11 to avoid severe stuttering.
I'd say "fuck Nvidia" like Linus Thorvalds, but my reccent experience with AMD's graphics cards is even worse.

Allright, that went surprisingly painlessly. The only issue I encountered was that my left monitor seemed to be dead ... until i dragged a window onto that part of the desktop and it turned out it was simply a black background.
