Following up on this thread, yesterday GitHub began their rug pull in earnest.
Copilot is moving to a usage-based model, but instead of pay as you go, you get a set amount of tokens per month that *expire* at the end of every month. They've also completely removed free model access.

They've also made some of the other things like GitHub Copilot Code Review, to now make it also consume GitHub Actions minutes *as well as* GitHub AI tokens. https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/reference/copilot-billing/models-and-pricing#pricing-and-usage-cost-considerations-for-copilot-code-review
