For a long time now I've been thinking about writing a fantasy book in which scrappy witches/wizards create their own spells and magical artefacts in a world where most people simply buy them from various Dark Lords (at great cost - and not just financially). The trouble is I'm very aware that actual literal Palantir exists as a company and that makes even the most heavy-handed analogy feel pointless here. #writing #fantasy
