But, in my own words. The "nothing to hide" argument assumes that laws are always:
1. made for you, never against you.
2. enforced fairly, rationally, sanely.
3. never conflict with the right thing to do.
4. all that matters, so there's no such thing as chilling effect against lawful actions.
5. immutable. (thanks vrek!)
None of those things is even remotely true.
