@pluralistic This post calls notable people "hatchet men" and a new agency "absurd" and "dangerous" right off the bat, while praising peer review and continuous critique. It doesn't add up, the entire argument is self-defeating. You can't defend expertise by stating that institutions are infallible and that it's wrong for new entrants with a track record of success to question them. It's just Doctorow word salad.
