"Is AI (Cl*ude) useful or is it garbage, is it for lazy hacks or capitalist scum or exciting new artists" is weird reductive framing. It's a powerful computer and a tech bubble and it's all owned by billionaires who hate us. It's as useful as the first computers were when they arrived: astoundingly fast and accurate at some things, laughably awful at other things. A tool for Nazis to exert control & a liberating force to put power in underprivileged hands. Immensely unsustainable and unnatural.

I think people get confused and backed into untenable positions because they try to save and justify one part of the Leviathan while lambasting its newest appendage. No, friends. I'm wrangling this beast but I know it all needs to be burnt starting at the top. If you're not willing to prioritize mushrooms and babies over silicon and banking, you'll get confused quick. Or to swap analogies: "do you fight for the users, or are you still misguidedly trying to build the perfect system?"
