@adr 🧙‍♂️in my day, I installed Red Hat from spare floppy disks I had laying around. My spare PC was in the closet so I'd sit on the floor and feed it disks. And then Google was barely a thing so when I had a problem I had no idea how to fix it. To be fair, Linux is a slightly more popular and socially acceptable option now than before Android and Mac were both POSIX, before WSL, before Windows became a joke and a hazard
