I find here on fedi, following the #dataviz tag is worthwhile. I'm not sure people really use hashtags on Bluesky, and I don't think you can follow them, and there's no algorithm to speak of, so I find following hashtags on Mastodon to be most satisfactory way to dip into the community. Just open the tag page on your server and tap/click follow:

@bsky.app.profile.visualisingdata.com@rss-parrot.net @andykirk@vis.social I think so many people got used to the way Twitter's algorithm works - the way it serves up content it thinks you'll like based on what you've engaged with - that people struggle with the relatively chaotic irrelevance of social networks that don't work like that and drift away. Those algorithms are made to be highly addictive and the alternatives feel less stimulating... at first. Worth persevering though.
