That still leaves 12% of EU's population (54 million people) unable to access key services due to age verfication. If the issue is protecting kids from what social media and other platforms show them, then the pressure should be on those platforms to fix the issue, not on the entire EU population of all ages.

    @theprivacydad@social.linux.pizza @vonderleyen@respublicae.eu @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu That is a valid argument and I do agree with the fact that it should be the source of the problem that should be addressed not everyone else. I don’t particularly like the Chinese way of controlling the digital marked but I do like that they actually cares about the content that is being portrait for their population and quite effectively protect the young ones from the “brainrot” that our kids are being subjected to. I just don’t see that implemented in a democracy without seriously violating the privacy of EU citizens.
