Peaceful transfer of democratic power to someone who has pledged to rule as a #dictator, and already demonstrated that they will not respect such transfer when their time comes strikes me as similar to the idea of #tolerance for intolerant ideas and behaviors. If it’s not true tolerance to tolerate bigotry, then how can it be a peaceful transfer of power if it transfers directly to an openly pledged dictator? I don’t know the solution to this, but I’m very interested in what others think.
