*Controls*
Firstly I left the cream in the fridge overnight and it did not turn into butter. Secondly I carried a water bottle containing water, this also did not turn into butter.

*setup* The cream was added to the vessel (figure 1). I did not have a camera phone (McKenzie & Clement 2008) to record the butter making process during the run, so I recorded my observations in my mind.
