Three things I’ve done recently; that if you run a website you might like to do; 1. Removed Twitter specific meta tags - at this point it’s wasted bytes. Stick to open graph stuff. 2. Updated links going to Twitter accounts to their website - a good 70% were clearly abandoned accounts 3. Removed links to tweets - they are paywalled now. This reduces page weight; gives crawlers less work to do; and improves user experience.
