@sam It wasn't always like it is now. At first it was a bunch of almost normal people playing e-daddy to young disenfranchised men. They didn't gain this fanbase on purpose, it simply gravitated to them. The next wave did gain that audience on purpose, grifters (and presumably a few who were simcerly hopping to help young men) targeting this demographic. Along with them they brought hyper performative masculinity and lowest common denominator milquetoast rightoid politics. Somewhere in there a bunch of fags realized they could gain access to these vulnerable young men by presenting themselves as a strong fatherly figure online; hence the homosexuality.
