@dusoft Vanilla mastodon does not support Markdown and strips HTML tags. There are some mastodon instances that run glitch-soc, which is a fork that adds a bunch of features including markdown.

@grim_elsewhere Yeah, will have to move to my own instance and also submit it as an issue to Mastodon. Quite weird decision not to support basic formatting.
