As Alex Sirois astutely points out BYD is selling cars while Tesla's Musk is increasingly selling just a 10 year old story promising Robotaxis and Roboworkers. Well, the Robo in robotaxis may stand for Herbert Robo the human usually guiding the error prone taxis as a fallback, and also the Mr. "Robo" of Musk's robots as the demonstrations also often depend on a remote human operator.
