@xChaos i see two levels in the question: 1) Why Fediverse among other social networks? and 2) Why are you on social network? If you mix them like this, my answer would be "because i like to do thinks right, and Fedi/Mastodon is the best option (except vast majority of users, LOL), because such public service should not be owned by a private company". Of course i can see from the list of options that you mean general vague "why social" question, which in this case would be my answer "because i strongly need to extend myself into virtual cyberspace and i like sharing of good things in my life (slightly more than getting inspiration from others)".
