how does one even determine if someone should get bottom surgery?Coming back to this, I just read through the adult section of the WPATH SoC v8, and as far as I can tell the answer is "check that their gender dysphoria is persistent and that they're capable of understanding and consenting to care". That's encouraging, at least

I just had my intake appointment at BuroJij, and it went well. They asked me a ton of questions, ranging from my childhood and memories of gender dysphoria to my current relationship, job, and transition. They also gave me a lot more information on what to expect going forward, which is really appreciated. Apparently I can expect to have more appointments with them at about a 2 week cadence spanning the next 6-8 months, after which they'll have everything they need to make the approval letter. Next appointment: March 4th.
