I had my GP refer me to Radboud in Nijmegen for surgery, which gets me on their wait-list while I work through stuff with the psychiatric practice. According to their website, it'll be a 3-4 month wait until my intake appointment with them and then a 14 month wait until the operation. Which isn't great, but at least it's better than the 4 year (!) wait at AUMC.
Also in ZorgDomein I see that I'm supposed to get a letter from Radboud after being referred to them, but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't gotten it yet. I'll keep waiting I guess.

It turns out that both Radboud and my GP can't find the referral in their system, so I've got an appointment with my GP next week to try again 🙄 In other news I just had my first "diagnostic" appointment at the psychiatric practice, where we wrote down more details of my experience with gender dysphoria and transition. We then did what they called a "gender interview" that amounted to us filling out a form that met the DSM5 criteria for gender dysphoria. In our next appointment the subject will be "severity of suffering"
