@avlcharlie@mastodon.social Yeah Charlie, it is amazing how some companies had good products back in the day, only to stupify, destroy and dumb down their stuff until they are crap. I always go back to the great old Coleman metal Ice Chests I had as a kid in the 60s and 70s. They were bulletproof, and could keep stuff cold in the Fresno heat for days. Now, current crop of ice chests(Yeti etc) are $300-$400 and sheesh, plastic. Nice but steep buy-in.
