This day has its own history. In Italy, a man who committed a sexual offense was acquitted on the grounds that the girl was at fault because she was wearing tight jeans, and the suspect could not have removed them without her consent. This sparked widespread public outrage, and female members of the Italian parliament staged a protest by wearing jeans.
