I had a bumpy update at home to Ubuntu 26.04 (my fault) and still worked fine.
During a do-release-upgrade -d (because the ISO is downloadable but the do-release-uprgade plain didn't show any new LTS versions), this was fine (so far).

But half-way my computer froze (black screen, no keyboard response, no ssh), and I had to hard reboot. But then a few apt -f install and apt dist-upgrade make the installation finish with one reboot in the middle because nvidia proprietary drivers (might have been the cause of the freeze).
