But probably what moved me the most was Landry’s mother first helping her care for Jojo at the hospital. “the sight of her momma knowin what mattered most to her heart, no matter her own appearance, her wounded flesh, her blood-drenched body, why that filled Landry with a spirit that not even the long years yet left to her could ever diminish.”
