Azus Jukebox #16 Flore Benguigui & The Sensible Notes - i-330 Every now and then an Album comes out that shapes what i listen to for months on end. And this is one of those. When i first spotted it I though "oh this looks fun" only after reading a bit into it I realized, who Flore Benguigui was I read up on her story and am so happy that she put out an Album like this now! Okay, But what makes this so special you ask? It's just a few more or less known Jazz Standards? - Well yes, but the way they are interpreted and played feels so accessible, so fun and inviting. When I say it changed how I listen to music I mean that my focus shifted a bit, it kinda inspired me to, firstly pick up my guitar and noodle along for hours, but also to listen to more Jazz again and I really appreciate that.
