@ubernostrum Great writeup! TL;DR: writing software is hard, we've known that since Fred Brooks, LLMs are not helping---and will never help---with the hard bits; they may help with the easy bits that we don't really need helping with, or they may not. EDIT: Oh and "We're in the middle of something" -- hmm...are we really in anything bigger/significantly other than say, "the colors for this spring are light beige and blue"?
