Things can happen out of nowhere. Here's dashcam footage from my car from about 9 years ago when I nearly died. I was about to overtake a truck at 70mph, there was a bend and it suddenly swerved in front of me (it turned out, reviewing the footage, that there was a car stopped in the left lane that he served to avoid - he would have killed them if he hit them). Luckily he managed to pull back in just in time and there was nobody behind me as I did emergency braking. I remember time going slow, I felt very calm, I thought 'oh I'm going to hit the truck better brake' 'oh the brake are not enough I'm going to hit him maybe I should swerve' then swerving a bit before he got back out the way. Then afterwards it hit me suddenly... Life is fragile, don't act like you'll always have a tomorrow.
