that's pretty much the best description of any video editing tool. they all have the same weird UX with the same weird behaviors. i suspect everyone just copies some old editor that copies how videos were physically edited in the past century. the result is the UX that makes sense only to someone with a lot of prior experience.

@orsinium Just give me real film reels and real film cutter, it would probably be easier. :) I’ve even worked building TV video editing tools and I still can’t get my head around it.
