@Popehat I'm honestly a bit surprised masthead.social was widely blocked. Never heard of or had any issues with accounts there.

@mathlover @Popehat I’ve heard that said but haven’t come across a situation where people I followed on Twitter are on a server that has it blocked and they’re pretty widely dispersed here.

@mathlover @Popehat The admin over there is an anti-vaxxer who believes the 2020 US election was stolen. I'm guessing that those (and probably other) viewpoints led to some differences of opinion on moderation that got the instance defederated

@mathlover @Popehat masthead dot social has a bad reputation, apparently the people running it have some crank affiliations. It was a moderately popular migration destination in the initial reaction to what Elon was doing to Twitter, and then there was more exposure about that particular instance and some backlash.
