Peer review always stresses me out way too much, and I end up obsessing and spending way too much time on a manuscript.
Just accepted a request to review a manuscript that seems to have different sections and analyses lifted from every chapter of my PhD, and yet makes no reference to any of my work despite it being...visible.
I don't think it *was* wholesale lifted, but it certainly looks inspired to the point that I am *baffled* there are zero references to my work. Nearly identical (but worse) methods, discussion points, theses, plots, even *workflow diagrams* from across all three of my published chapters.

@tootstorm@eldritch.cafe well, you can always correspond privately to the editor if your concern is plagiarism. Otherwise your review could say “this work is extremely similar to my own thesis (citation) which the authors seem to have overlooked in their review of the existing literature “ and then comment further on the lack of novelty in their approach, if that’s appropriate
