Blue no matter who

2026-04-28 02:51 UTC

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Sunday said Democrats will not focus on impeaching President Trump if they regain a majority in the lower chamber after midterm elections. “I’ve made clear from the very beginning that our top priority is going to be to drive down the high cost of living,” the House minority leader added. The House minority leader has lauded Democrats’ push for redistricting nationwide in an effort to pick up additional House seats and signaled that the party will advocate more for working-class Americans, after Democrats saw losses from the key demographic in the 2024 election. (Obligatory readsettlers.org ) PS this is low effort memes, I’m not going to defend the meme in the comments - feel free to argue with yourselves Edit: I’m not american so you’re extra wasting your time arguing 🤷‍♀️

Meme aside, I'm absolutely voting blue no matter who because 1. Literal fascists are in control of our federal government. 2. There is no viable 3rd party. No 3rd party is seriously trying to be viable. And American citizens aren't taking 3rd parties seriously by voting for them in local/state elections. So there is absolutely no chance of a 3rd party accomplishing anything in the near or even remote future. I'm not sure if anyone remembers, but none of this crazy shit was happening before January 2025. I'm voting to go back in that direction. To be clear, I'm totally onboard with reforming the Democrat party by primarying out the bad actors. That's way, way more likely than making a 3rd party viable in the short amount of time we have left before we aren't a democracy anymore.

I know this says low effort, but I mostly make memes on my phone and to get all the texts right in the picture would be pretty hard. So nice job. By the way, I didn't read what it said.

the blue no matter who thing is funny because trump originally was going to run as a democrat. would they have still voted for him?

    Restructure ICE to deport MAGA.

  • Yes maga is dogshit but the democrat leadership is in bed with them, that's the problem and there's no easy solution. Even if Ocasio Cortez and Sanders and others are amazing, they need more allies because schumer and jefferies are lockstep with trump behind closed doors.

Silly people here having arguments like they exist in a democracy that will change their lives for the better if only smart choices were made.

They probably won't do shit about cost of living either. [The only time it's gone down in the past 20 years was in 2009](https://www.bls.gov/charts/consumer-price-index/consumer-price-index-by-category-line-chart.htm) after the housing market crashed. That likely had more to do with the recession; and if anything the Democrats' actions were a hindrance to that reduction.

Vote establishment out, they carry considerable blame for our current predicament. "Proud Zionist" Biden literally said last election "nothing will fundamentally change from Trump", that's who they are.

It's hilarious that the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries thinks they'll still be allowed on the stage after the Midterms. The first thing I expect the Dems to do after the Midterms is replace those two cowardly losers with people with the courage to fight MAGA on EVERYTHING! And then it's two years of relentless bullying, and impeachment is definitely a good part of the strategy, even if the Senate won't vote to convict. We need to attack them aggressively on every front, especially anything that embarrasses and humiliates Trump. Impeach him over and over, every time he commits another crime. And frankly, we may get to a point where even MAGA realizes that maybe they'd be better off without him, and vote to impeach. Then we can also go after everybody else, too, impeach one after another, just to put it on the historical record that we went after ALL the Traitors. That will waste their time, make them scream and cry, and distract them, and keep them off balance. Drag them through investigations and hearings over and over, make them spend 3 days a week testifying in front of some committee or another, explaining themselves, and spending time in jail for contempt whenever possible. It will mean that we are closely watching and investigating them every second, making it much more difficult to pull off whatever insane strategies election fraud they'll try to pull for 2028. MAGAs and Anti-vaxxers are the only groups for whom it is appropriate to BULLY, so do it relentlessly.

  • You can really see it ramp up in real time. The pro-china, pro-russia shit, the "both sides" shit, the "Dems don't do anything" shit. It's all bad actors making false equivalency arguments. Motherfuckers act like trump take 3 is gonna be better. Fuck off. Vote blue. Period. Call me out if you want, but if you vote red, if you vote third party, you are part of the problem. The system isn't set up for a third party, so if you do that, you only help the party that wouldn't have gotten your vote otherwise. Wish it wasn't that way, but it is, so you gotta go what you gotta do and vote blue, no matter how much you want to be a tankie slut.

  • Jeffries, I hate it break it to you but if you think you're going to pass anything while The Orange Menace is in the White House, I'd love to sell you my share of the Brooklyn Bridge. You might as well keep trying to impeach Trump. In fact, we'd think you have balls if after each defeat in the Senate, you drum up another impeachment vote. And I'd like to remind you that Republicans passed the repeal of Obamacare **repeatedly** in the last two years of Obama's presidency.

The majority of voters don’t want to abolish ICE. Just like they didn’t want to defund the police. They want police to follow the law and be held accountable and ICE to not be used as Trump’s personal army. This seems like an attempt to make leftists look bad by pushing a sentiment that is unpopular with voters

    Open ##1882336

  • I don't like it, either, but it's politically the smart thing to do (EDIT: I'm referring to not seeking impeachment here - ICE still needs to go for sure). Rather than reignite the partisan wars, show the less extreme Trump supporters that the other side is actually prioritizing "the people" & their needs more than Trump ever did - it'll do more to win their support than attacking "their side" ever will.
