@Rickd6 @ApostateEnglishman yup. You use the tools you have, and royal influence on foreign government decisions is one tool the brits have. It might be something that only works well on stupid people, but the biggest problem I have seen smart people doing for the past 10 years is treating stupid people like they were smart, or trying to change them, instead of meeting them at the level they're at and speaking their cultural language.
