My advice to any future US presidential candidate is to make sure as many states you’ve won in are legally required to vote for you in the House of Representatives in the event you’ve managed to tie the electoral college. Because it turns out the popular vote doesn’t actually decide anything, not even to break a tie. It’s just for show. So don’t worry too much if that doesn’t go in your favour.

I mean, why is this a technically possible result? The silver lining is that #TwoSeventy is a remarkably accurate simulation in that everything in a presidential campaign—speeches, rallies, debates, competence, etc.—has been reduced to…money. Just money. It’s so on the nose that I bet the vast majority of people completely miss it. #TyrannyOfTheMinority
