So, doing some travelling in SEA and they have an alarming new way to violate your privacy. When you check in for your flight at the self-checkin kiosk it, the first screen is full of text, like a standard license agreement that nobody ever reads and just presses “agree”. However, it’s not a license agreement, it’s asking for your permission to scan your likeness and keep and use that likeness however they see fit. (1/3)

Just a horribly egregious over stepping of your privacy rights, and for what? So you can step through the boarding pass/ID check maybe 2 seconds faster? AND EVERY SINGLE ASIAN I SAW JUST CLICKED AGREE. Jesus. Later on, at the baggage security check, they separated the people that had agreed from the ones that hadn’t, arguably to serve those that had agreed better – so there was some incentive for the others to agree next time.
