I wasn't into syntaxy languages in those days (still ain't), but I remember chatting with Ms. Liskov (sometime 1973-1975) about her PhD. work (chess endgames), and we agreed that the less computation an AI program used, the better the AI.
She.Was.Ahead.Of.Her.Time.

@djl @lain_7 @mdhughes @screwlisp The general idea of an AI chat was in ADA, and the language has been quietly advancing since then, but not for the masses.
