I like how my family had a unintentional tradition that's similar to the Chinese. Every year for most holidays and Christmas the oldest in the family would give money to the youngest/kids in red envelopes. Than throughout the years it started to get decorated randomly with fun little things like drawings or prayers for fun or good luck. Idk why we did it or when it even started tbh. We're not Asian in any way we're full Italian and from the usa.
