"Math proves AI cannot evolve independently" Very interesting research that proves that an LLM alone converges to a fixed point when looping on it own output, something that most people knew without a formal proof years ago. But the commentary article below totally misses the point, in a very similar way to how evolution deniers say "it's impossible to obtain a clock by mixing particles of glass and iron and letting them form a clock by chance". Both are totally right in the premises, but they're criticizing an incomplete model of what's happening back stage.
