In a bachelor course on "Digital Work and Governane" I am going to introduce the Fediverse to a bunch of students who have neither used it nor even heard the term.
Due to encouraging experience with explaining Mastodon by pointing to parallels with e-mail, I asked ChatGPT to create a comparison along several dimensions and I am quite pleased with the result below.
Will beta-test it in class tomorrow.

@leonido@chaos.social great infographic! Add: We’d better be careful not to go down the same road with the Fediverse as some went with email: Outlook and Gmail added a layer of features that are not compatible with standard IMAP. Embrace, extend, extinguish.
