i think talking about saving resources and not being wasteful with North Americans and some Europeans too is kinda really hard because a lot of people have the wrong impression of what “not being wasteful” is. like yeah “not throwing away stuff” is a big part but a lot of my friends have their definition just, stop at that. the way more important part about not wasting stuff is to not have excessive consumption in the first place. Don’t order more food than you can eat. don’t buy more groceries than you can cook. don’t get toys you won’t keep. that’s what being careful with your resources means, not just “don’t throw it in the bin”
