In the furry fandom, the canary in the coal mine is people into ABDL and age regression play. In the LGBTQIA+ community, it's the people into BDSM, pup play, leather and/or latex, and so on. In society at large, it's *all us weirdos.* Stand with your fellow weirdos. Especially if you don't understand what they like.

@LexYeen screaming from the roof tops that very first point all of the others are *very* important too, but i'm directly affected by the first one, by people constantly insisting the art i draw is "bad", "immoral", "degenerate", etc. etc. and once they push my kind of art out... they'll be shocked to find out their own perverse art is next. something something you know the saying.

@LexYeen as someone who is pretty open about being abdl, it's fun how the number of private messages i get from people who say "oh!! me too!" correlates with how welcoming and safe a space seems to be! like, it's super-self-evident, because i feel the vibes too! but it's always been fun how those vibes translate so tangibly to the existence of more people who are often othered in those spaces :bubeyes:
