A question for those who play #FinalFantasyXIV, is the free trial sufficient to get a good grasp on the game and play a lot of the content? With how inconsistent I get to game a paid subscription doesn’t really appeal

@Knightky@mstdn.games I haven't done the free trial, but here's the article on it from a wiki I frequently reference when watching @AltheaValara@mstdn.games play. Getting two expansions for free is also quite a lot of story. https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XIV#Free_Trial

@Knightky@mstdn.games the base game is, really, the game at it's worst but if you can get through the base and first expansion you'd have an extremely good idea if it's for you or not. I believe, soon, the first 2 or 3 expansions will be added to the free part as well.

@Knightky@mstdn.games just don't think you're into it and pay for 1 month because, possibly obviously, there is no going back to the free trial.
