Do you remember the social media panic over 'man spreading' or whatever? This whole thesis that men sit with their legs spread in public spaces to specifically deny women a place to sit? It was so wild. And everyone ate it up. And if you pointed out how many women dump their bags on seats and take up 2-3 extra seats... you were a misogynist attacking hard working women who were just trying to bring their shopping home. It can't just be that people who take up extra space are the jerks.
