So you're seeing high noise when hooking up your device to a decent antenna? It is not the antenna's fault. 🧵
Filtering helps: It prevents your weak front-end from seeing many nearby signals.
Strong front-ends are expensive and tend to consume more battery power.

@dj3ei I know that it's not the antenna's fault. Lacking any previous first-hand experience though, I just didn't expect it to be THAT bad in direct comparison with a $5 antenna put up behind the window of the attic. Right now I'm thinking about getting a decent cavity filter instead and see if that's even better in my case.
