@mcdanlj At least it’s a prominent setting option in gnome-tweaks. Nevertheless took me way too long to realise why middle click was broken.

@david Ah, I would have expected a suitable period of mourning (maybe two releases) of it being in settings to help us dinosaurs who have been using middle click for longer than Linux has existed, before it was deprecated to tweaks. Yeah I should have checked tweaks. Thank you for calling that out, that's valuable! I posted because when I searched, most of what I found was argumentation one way or the other and it took a while to find the gsettings invocation, so I wanted to make it easier to find as others migrate around the Fedora 44 release.
