Is this just a reference to The GIMP or are there other common apps with dodgy names? I’m struggling to think of any.

The app starting with K is probably a nod to how KDE names many of their projects something that starts with K. (Konsole, Kate, Kdenlive, Krita). The litoris part probably refers to how linux apps often name things after random weird stuff, e.g. gimp, but it's not always genital/sexual related I guess.
