I stopped listening because most of the men debating were not respecting the debate rules, and the people with their fingers on the switches didn't listen to the moderator(s). It seemed that Katie Porter (D), Tony Thurmond (D) and Antonio Villaraigosa (D) were trying, and making fairly reasonable points. At the end of the second "phase" Katie Porter was permitted to respond to the student question, because she had the least speaking time (because she was following the rules). The two repubicans seemed to be mostly saying "it's all lies" (but the "truth" seems to just be "democrats do it wrong"); the others have their favorite points they harp on, even when it isn't their turn.
