Just seen a bloody awful resto-mod video about making a cyberpunk Citroën ZX, and this guy's rationale is: "I don't like things being antropomorphic. things should not have faces, people need to focus on the function and form, not on wether it has a face or not" ... This dude is an absolute idiot. A car is something you spend a lot of time with. I want my wedges with personalities, with human-like traits. They are (sadly) a companion for the day to day errands and work commute. If you don't feel joy on seeing your little french car being a silly creature, or simply seeing your own things as critters, you kind of suck man. ... In the current day discourse of people believing text generators are alive, it sure feels weird to be angry about cars not having faces or looking like silly critters or projecting parts of yourself into things or treating them as if they were alive and had feelings but... _argh_. Dude with the ultra-utilitarianism and just trying to remove themselves from the world as if nothing on earth mattered, the sheer nihilism and wish to be disconnected from the earth and one another. Lots of feelings for a video of someone doing a stupid mod to their old car.
